Disney provided us private parking at the Coronado Springs Disney World, where most of us are staying before the start of the weekend long Car Masters event. For more info regarding the Car Masters 2012 event, click here
Service Manuals for 2009-2010 Challengers
UPDATE:
A simply work around (you have to do this every time you run the manual) is to simply run it under developer mode, IE7, in any newer version of IE
Open the manual’s .\html\default.htm in IE
Click on f12 or click the sprocket in the upper right hand corner then select F12 Developer tools
When the window opens at the bottom of IE, select
Mode
–Document Mode -> 7
–User agent string -> Internet Explorer 7
It will now allow you to select year, model and engine to begin the owners manual and continue on as you where using the old version of IE.
Have not found a way to make it open by default, as setting the compatibility mode in the meta tag does not work, thus you have to do this every time you use the manual.
The biggest complaint I have in regards to owning my Challenger was the lack of a reasonably prices service manual. That is, if you could find one at all. Currently the only service manual listed for sale to the general public, is for the 2009 year which does cover the 2010s. Ban news for 2011+ owners as there still does not seem to be a manual for your years. I’ve searched and could not find anything for the current models. Dodge is surly lacking in this area, for current Challenger owners.
Below you will find my findings, a small review and a few links to purchase your own Service Manual. That’s if you own a 2009-2010 Challenger.
If anyone does have a link to where you can purchase current versions of the 2011+ manuals please send me a link/information via our contact us form at the top of this page.
Car Cruise Sanford
Downtown Longwood (Central Florida) event – Great turnout
What a great night to have a cruise here in Central Florida. As always the Orlando Bowtie club put on a great event with food, music, door prizes and 50/50 raffle. They packed the event to capacity (as always)

Racing legend Carrol Shelby dead at 89
DALLAS – Carroll Shelby, the legendary auto racer and car designer who built the fabled Shelby Cobra sports car and injected testosterone into Ford’s Mustang and Chrysler’s Viper, has died. He was 89.
Shelby’s company, Carroll Shelby International, said Friday that Shelby died a day earlier at a Dallas hospital. He had received a heart transplant in 1990 and a kidney transplant in 1996.
He was one of the nation’s longest-living heart transplant recipients, having received a heart on June 7, 1990, from a 34-year-old man who died of an aneurism. Shelby also received a kidney transplant in 1996 from his son, Michael.
QR codes created and printed
Printed several copies on heavy paper. Even with the heavy paper I’ve printed multiple copies in case they get lost or damaged (rain)
Each QR code is labeled so I know where to place them on the car. If all works out, I’ll eventually laminate them for easy reuse and durability.
Downtown Disney Car Masters weekend
My car has been accepted into the Downtown Disney Car show. There will be about 125 cars from the local clubs around central Florida and a few further away.
Event will take place on June 2nd and 3rd and located at Downtown Disney

Testing out the QR codes at a local car cruise
Going to do a test run this Saturday at the Downtown Longwood (Central Florida) event May 12, 2012 5PM – 8PM – More info over at the Orlando Bowtie club page. Worst case, I’ll have a few pictures from the show here on the new site.
If all goes well, we go live at the end of the month, just in time for the Down Town Disney’s Car Masters Weekend here in Orlando Florida.
We’re getting there
The site is still in it’s test phase, as I need to finish a few more pages under “my car”.
The main goal for the site is to try and see if I can use QR codes placed around my car at events and car shows to link back here to specific pages with detailed information about what they are looking at.
QR codes are a small 3D bar code that when scanned via a smart phone will load a web page. In my case I’ll have several QR codes around the car (only during the show) that will link back here
Example, say someone walks up to my car and is trying to find out how my Shaker Hood works. Luckily for them, I’ve placed a QR code near the shaker. They scan the code with their smart phone and it brings them back here to the Shaker/TA hood (currently one of the blank pages) page that details what the hood is and in some cases, how it was installed.
I plan on testing, for the first time at the Downtown Longwood (Central Florida) event May 12, 2012 5PM – 8PM – More info over at the Orlando Bowtie club page.
I hope to have all the pages in place for this event, create and print some AR codes and see how it goes.
I’ll report back after the event.
Starting to build content (links)
I know how hard finding valuable information on the internet is. I’ve started to populate the links with the best Challenger related links I have collected over the past year of owning my car. I have a lot more to add, just need to find the time
